The Château de Naïs...
Naïs, our daughter, was 5 years old when we visited this place for the first time. She exclaimed: “It’s a castle!”... It stayed.
French Tuscany, this hilly part of the Tarn, is superb with its countryside, its forests, its bastides, its history. Close to Gaillac, Rabastens, Cordes, Albi, Toulouse to name only the most famous. The forests of Sivens and Grésigne, as well as the Aveyron valley are also nearby for hiking. You can combine the discovery of magnificent landscapes and preserved villages.
Our approach has always been to favor local natural products and renewable energies. You can enjoy the natural swimming pool with untreated water and the organic vegetable garden where you can pick vegetables or fruits and share my tips and recipes.
** THE GITE **
Magnificent and large mansion, patiently renovated in the tradition, which can comfortably accommodate 15 people.
In front of the house, the beautiful terrace and the large table invite conviviality, facing the Tescou valley and the village of Salvagnac. And what about the garden, at the same time pleasure garden, orchard and vegetable garden, worked over the years. Relaxation and strolling, so relaxing. The natural swimming pool will give you a pleasant feeling of calm and freshness.
The gîte occupies part of the house, the other part being the owners' main residence. In total, you benefit from 320m² with 8 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 2 living rooms and a professional kitchen.
Ground floor :
- large living/dining room of 63m² with piano, fireplace, library...
- professional kitchen: 2 ovens (steam and normal oven), very large refrigerator, freezer, 2 filter coffee makers, 1 grain coffee maker, dishwasher, professional pastry robot, blender, multifunction food processor, electric mixer, toaster , kettle, microwave, 3 electric induction hobs...
- entrance with washing machine, separate toilet and separate sink
- bedroom 1 with double bed and private bathroom
1st floor :
- second living room / library with sofas, games, desk with computer and printer (screen, tower and wired connection)
- bedroom 2 with two 90cm beds, private bathroom and toilet (spa bath and shower)
- 50m² family suite with bedrooms 3 and 4: one bedroom with 160cm double bed and the second bedroom with two 90cm beds. Between the two bedrooms, a bathroom with toilet: corner spa bath and shower.
- access to bedrooms 5 and 6: from the 1st floor of the gîte, bedrooms 5 and 6 each have a private living room + staircase which accesses the bedrooms located on the mezzanine
2nd Floor :
- from the independent access from the living room to each bedroom (5 and 6): mezzanines each with a 160cm double bed. Next, private bathroom with toilet opening onto bedrooms 7 and 8, each equipped with two 90cm single beds --> therefore, bedroom 5 located on the 1st floor of the gîte gives access to the mezzanine and bedroom 7 has a side; and bedroom 6, also located on the 1st floor of the gîte, gives access to the mezzanine and bedroom 8 on the other side. The two mezzanines do not communicate; they are each located above their respective living room/bedroom.
Outside: natural swimming pool to share with other vacationers present on site. Pool 1.70m deep (decreasing depth on rounded bottom), swimming vest obligatory. Very large garden with access to the owners' vegetable garden who will happily accompany you for picking. Chickens, cat and dogs of the owners on site.
Parking on the property, covered and secure. Loan of 4 bikes on site. Hiking trails a few meters from the cottage.
