We decided to open the doors of the abandoned barn again.

Independent cottage in a small hamlet (old farm) of the Cordais Country, where the owners live in the back below. Private lake for fishing.

Courtyard on the front, carport, garden in the back with nice terrace of 22m², barbecue, garden furniture (table and chairs) + relaxing garden furniture (two seater bench, two armchairs, a coffee table and two sunbeds), pool to share with the owners.

Ground floor: huge living room with a nice frame, three bedrooms, one with private bathroom and a special children.

Large central heating room, sleeping area air conditioning. Baby equipment. Wifi.

You leave Albi by the road of Cordes, attack the climb, the whole city spreads at your feet, the view leads to the Black Mountain. Arriving on the Cordais plateau, the landscape is quite different, the omnipresent brick in Albi gives way to white limestone stones, the vineyards make their appearance, all along the roads up to the bastides of Cordes-sur-Ciel or Castelnau-de-Montmamiral.

The village of Mailhoc is halfway between Albi and Cordes. There are many small, formerly agricultural hamlets such as Vilandié, where each family owned a house (or several), a barn and outbuildings, and land all around, sometimes a lake, as here.

You will stay in an old barn, all in length, wonderfully restored, a true Gîte de Caractère. Relaxing holidays, heritage and cultural visits, wine tasting of Gaillac, the oldest vineyard in France, sports and swimming in Cap Découverte.
