If you choose Villa Son Julià, you will be rewarded with a marvellous location that offers wonderfully relaxing days: Surrounded by fields and small woods, the outdoor area is like an oasis. And of course there is a pool to cool off in. Measuring 8 x 4 metres, the pool offers plenty of space to splash around and swim to your heart's content. The view from here is so far-reaching that you can even see the foothills of the Tramuntana mountains in the distance. The covered outdoor kitchen has a shaded dining area where you can enjoy fresh delicacies from the barbecue. The villa also has a cosy terrace, the roof of which is partially covered with wild, shady vines. Directly in front of the pool, you can also relax on comfortable sun loungers under a thatched umbrella. If you are looking for a place for an outdoor picnic, you will find a great spot under the treetops a little further away from the house. The authentic quarry stone façade of the house creates a very special atmosphere, typical of places steeped in history.
The house itself is modern and simply furnished, with a good sense of practical aesthetics. The living room, kitchen and dining area merge seamlessly into one another. You will find space for all your shopping in the large fridge. The gas hob can be switched on in no time at all to heat up your meals. An extractor bonnet ensures that cooking odours do not linger longer than necessary. The two bedrooms are each furnished with a double bed made of dark-stained wood and the comfortable mattresses will do their best to give you heavenly dreams. One of the rooms has its own bathroom. Here and in the second bathroom of the house, the colourful tiles in the shower are particularly eye-catching and convey a Mediterranean zest for life. The fact that part of the original stone façade is exposed inside the house significantly increases the rustic feel-good factor of the property.
Adventurers, sports enthusiasts and water lovers don't have to travel far from Villa Son Julià to find what makes them happy. You can hike through the flora directly from the property. Or you can climb up to a monastery 2 kilometres from Porreres, the Santuari de Monti-Zion, whose history can be traced back to 1348. The rock castle Castell de Santueri and the monastery of San Salvador near Felanitx are also worth a visit. You can sample the apricots typical of Porreres at the fragrant weekly markets. The bodegas in Porreres are also worth a visit to sample the island's wines. The Ma-5100 motorway is within easy reach of the property, allowing you to reach the many beaches on the east coast within half an hour.
