    “Grächen ist in meinen Augen der schönste Ort, um im Mattertal Urlaub zu machen. Trotz seiner Bekanntheit hat der Ort nichts von seiner Ursprünglichkeit und seinem dörflichen Charme eingebüßt. Es gibt drei Supermärkte, einen Metzger mit ausgezeichneten regionalen Produkten und mehrere Bäcker, Sportgeschäfte, eine Apotheke und viele nette Restaurants, Bars und Cafes. Wer mehr Wert auf Bio-Produkte legt, findet diese im nahegelegenen Migros in St. Niklaus.
    Grächen bietet nicht nur die Möglichkeit für leichte Spaziergänge, sondern auch für längere, anspruchsvollere Wanderungen mit atemberaubenden Ausblicken. Zermatt ist in 25 Minuten mit dem Auto erreichbar. Für Familien mit Kindern ist der Ort ganz besonders gut geeignet, denn es gibt Kinderwanderwege mit Attraktionen und Geschichten entlang der Wege sowie sehr schöne Spielplätze und einen See. Besonders gut haben uns die Wasserleiten oberhalb von Grächen gefallen, an denen man entlangspazieren kann.”
